Support of newly displaced IDPs from Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatoo

November 2, 2017

On October 23, 2017 REACH in coordination with HEKS EPER organisation distributed food rations for 1000 IDP families who is been displaced after the military operation of 16 October 2017 in Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatoo areas. The distribution took place in Kifri district.

The rations consisted of 13 items which can provide enough calories for up to three weeks for a family of 6 persons.
This was the first step of assistance. REACH is going to provide kerosene with winter season approaching.

The process was a result of close coordination with both REACH, HEKS, as well as food cluster and local authorities.
