Support of newly displaced IDPs from Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatoo

On October 23, 2017,  REACH in coordination with  HEKS EPER, distributed food rations for 1000 IDP families who is been displaced after the military operation of 16 October 2017 in Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatoo areas. The distribution took place in Kifri district.

The inital step in the assistance consisted of the distribution of 13 items capable of providing enough calories for up to three weeks for a family of 6 people. This will be followed up by REACH with a seconf distribution of kerosene in order to provide for the upcoming winter season.


This much needed emergency relief was the direct result of the close coordination among REACH, HEKS, the Food Cluster and local authorities.
